Vikings, a brutal and feared merchant who was admired as daring masters of wind and wave and the construction of Viking longboats, the mystic force of the runes and curly birch as one of the characteristic trees of the Nordic world has inspired the design of the Pen of the Year 2017. The platinum plated barrel is adorned by five silvers of ‘curly birch’, and the name Graf von Faber Castell is engraved in the end piece in runes.
Each pen comes in a brightly polished black wooden box.
